Does Height Matter In A Fight!!

Are you the one to walk up and pick a fight, or do you quiver off like a low self esteem punk, or do you just pick and choose of whom you want to mess up?

I guess this is coming from a tall dudes perspective. Shorter guys like to scrap no doubt about it, but they usually get messed up. Unless they are in the UFC fight Saturday Night, Aug 25/07. and know how to create some damage.

I have personally gotten into a tight corner or two, but I usually sober the f-up on the first punch thrown, then I get into my tall stance mode, and throw some words then walk away, and no one wants to get it on. Then again I have past out, and gotten the unknown light black eye, or unexplained bruises on my body. Treatment.

And I have f'd up a few high rollers in my life. So they seemed to be, maybe just posers for all I know. I think height matters, in situations I get into.

6'+ seems to be where it is at. 6'4+. and they tall. After that, its the definition of the bisceps, that you look at.

friend of my SO is a professional fighter, and we watch a lot of those fight shows you mention. It was always my opinion that "reach" (arm length) plays a huge part in a professional fight, but as we see on TV the faster smarter guy is often the winner. (size and reach help, but they dont' win the fight). Endurance also plays a huge role in these competitions.

As for "non professional" fights, the brawn usually does the trick. Those little guys can be quick but that doesn't change the fact that each punch landed really packs a whallop from the bigger guy. Knowing how to land a punch is super important. I've seen a lot of fights where the guy just couldn't land it correctly. (bar fights etc.)

Although I don't fight and haven't in years I know exactly how to win. My tactic was to take them down as fast as I could, because honestly I'm not a large woman. Fast damage, keep from getting pinned and fight smart. If your emotions take the reign, you've already lost before you started. Controlled educated moves - that's where it's at.

And no, I was never the antagonist in any fight I was in. I don't pick fights.
