Keyword Position

New postby bratsing on Fri Apr 11, 2008 3:23 am

Just wondering if anyone here may have some info on keword positioning.

I updated my site with meta tag corrections, titles and descriptions. I also added variations of all my keywords in the content of the pages.

I noticed that google had accessed my site on the 24th of Feb, then again on the 4th of March, so I checked the pages that have been indexed using webmaster tools to make sure that those pages updated were were indexed as far as my changes had gone, and noted that they were.

I then went to SEOCentro to check my placement, and to my dismay, in searching several variations, there are some that position very well, and very high, while others (exact keywords that have been used) show up in MSN, but have no placement at all in Google or Yahoo.

Is there something wrong here, or does this just take time to register in the search engine?
