"I am confident of conquering all adverse factors which may hinder my achievements at home," the 24-year-old said.
"I have no pressure at all since I have taken part in one Olympic Games. I will concentrate my mind on training," he said.
Liu is under threat of a diminished performance at the hands of his arch-rivals Ladji Doucoure of France and Dayron Robles of Cuba at the Olympic Games.
"I am not excessively concerned about them. The key for me is to avoid injuries before the Olympic showdown."
"As long as I don't run on a lawn, I am capable of overcoming others at home," he joked.
