How is Haikou? Uni?

Hi Im gonna go to Haikou soon and stay for a while before enrolling at uni there.

Can any1 tell me about Haikou and Qiongshan and the university there?
Can I find part-time work teaching english? ( comments on my ability unwelcome)
any info much appreciated, cheers
