MY: xiànzài nǐ huì shuō hànyǔ le ma?
M: huì shuō hànyǔ le ma? The little ‘le' indicates that something has been achieved. Here, it's learning Chinese. The ‘ma' makes it a question, albeit a rhetorical question. Modest Stuart replied:
